La meccanica del colore é uma obra que me fez entender o amor à arte do palco. Há um antes e um depois deste trabalho. Um antes que apenas se idealizava em paixão e um depois que se viveu, envolveu e fez a transformação em amor absoluto. Há uma forma diferente de pensar a música para palco e este trabalho ensinou-me isso como nenhum outro. Por esta razão, não vejo o dia em que poderei voltar a trabalhar em palco, com a equipa vasta que sempre se exige numa produção de ópera, por mais simples que seja.
Enquanto esse dia não chega, terei outra feliz experiência de poder ver ser transmitida, na RTP2, esta mesma ópera de câmara que subiu ao palco da Bienal de Veneza, no 63º Festival de Música Contemporânea, em 2019.
A acompanhar esta transmissão haverá um documentário que será uma espécie de guia de como penso e descubro a música que faço, com especial incidência n’A mecânica da cor.

La meccanica del colore is a work that made me understand the love for the art of the stage. There is a before and after this work. A before that was merely idealized as passion, and an after that was lived, involved, and transformed into absolute love.
There is a different way of thinking about music for the stage, and this work taught me that like no other. For this reason, I long for the day when I can return to working on stage, with the large team always required in an opera production, no matter how simple it may be.
Until that day comes, I will have the happy experience of seeing this same chamber opera broadcast on RTP2, which premiered at the Venice Biennale, during the 63rd Festival of Contemporary Music in 2019.
Along with this broadcast, there will be a documentary that will serve as a sort of guide to how I think and discover the music I create, with special focus on La meccanica del colore.
